Ian Happ (born August 12, 1994) is an outfielder for the Chicago Cubs in Major League Baseball. A first-round pick by the Cubs in the 2015 MLB Draft out of the University of Cincinnati, Happ made his MLB debut in 2017 and has since become a key contributor for Chicago. Known for his versatility, switch-hitting ability, and strong defensive play in left field, he has earned multiple Rawlings Gold Glove Awards and was selected as an All-Star in 2022, establishing himself as one of the game’s reliable everyday players.
